Service Description
This 6 hour course is geared towards beginners and kids eager to learn in a hands-on on-the-water setting with interactive teaching of safety equipment use, how to maneuver a boat, and include the safety training needed by Texas Parks and Wildlife. This course differs from online classes click-and-pass testing, as we make it fun providing a love of boating and confidence we want to instill in the kids that comes from knowledge and practice! NOT just show them how to pass a test. We keep the classes small to ensure all participants get time on the water to practice. Kids 13 and up will finish the requirements for TPWD Certification and we pay the fee for licensure. For kids that are 12, they will finish all of the requirements in this class, and once they turn 13, TPWD will release their certificate. Once and Done! Both Captain James Chadwick and David Ramcharan will run these classes as TPWD Boater Education Certified Instructors and experienced boat driving trainers. National statistics show that young adults are the most likely to have a serious incident, so learning habits younger will hopefully instill that it is a serious concern for operating boats in our waters.
