Kids 10+ will be taught all requirements
for the TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE test. WE pay the fees and when a kid turns 13 the certification is ready to print the TPWD Boater Safety Certification — permission license to drive a boat in Texas by themselves.
Safe & Smart Emergency Plans
Instructors stress critical lifesaving skills, such as man-overboard tactics and rescue techniques for kayaks and jet ski turnovers. Students learn correct use of boat safety gear and how to hail the Coast Guard for help.
Options for 10+ Youth
The Youth 10+ program comprises
6 hours of class time including boat driving practice. The Registration deposit of $50 goes to TPWD for test registration for your kid's name and age and for course supplies.
Cost: $200 ( about $30 per hour tuition)
Schedule:
Kids Camp classes runs from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on weekends as scheduled. Adult Classes and Tuesday/ Wednesday Mornings 9am - noon
Hands-On Training
The Youth Boat Training Camp demonstrates correct boating guidelines, boat maneuvers and terminology while teaching hands-on driving skills and training youth to become a safe and confident boater.
Elemental & Practical Skills
Our goal is to deliver a fun and memorable training program on Baywatch Tours' reliable pontoon boats so that each participant learns foundational skills for navigating our beautiful waterways on their own.
Option for Adults
This 6-hour required TPWD course for Boater Safety Certification consists of 2 consecutive days of intensive 3-hour classroom instruction without boat driving and costs $55 total
Capt. James Chadwick offers one-on-one, on-the-boat driving tutoring by the hour for $100 optional add -on
