Kids ages 12+ prepare for the TPWD Boater Safety Certification Test with hands-on on-the-water driving practice
Kids ages 10-11 years take Junior Boating Beginner Safety with hands-on on-the-water practice.
Adults: TWPD in-class Boater Safety Certification Class
Private Sessions: Hands-on Boat Driving Practice for either adults or youth

JUNIOR BOATING CLASS: Ages 10-11
This is a two hour class for kids 10-11 years to introduce them to Boater safety basics and how to handle person-overboard situations. Includes hands-on boat driving practice.
Cost: $80 per kid. This class is not part of the TPWD Certification.
Safe & Smart Emergency Plans
Instructors stress critical lifesaving skills, such as man-overboard tactics and rescue techniques for kayaks and jet ski turnovers.
Students learn correct use of boat safety gear and how to hail the Coast Guard for help.
Option for Adults
This 6-hour required TPWD course for Boater Safety Certification consists of an intensive 6 hour classroom instruction without boat driving and costs $55 total with Exam!
Capt. James Chadwick offers one-on-one, on-the-boat driving tutoring by the hour for $100 optional add -on for participants of this course
Kids ages 12+ prepare for the TPWD Boater Safety Certification Test
TPWD Boater Certification: The Youth 12+ program is comprised of 6 hours of class time that includes all requirements for Texas Parks and Wildlife certification, along with hands-on boat driving practice. The Registration Fees include a deposit going to TPWD for test registration in your kid's name, age and for course supplies.

Hands-On Training
Unique to our Baywatch Boating Academy is the addition of driving under supervision of a Licensed boat Captain.
The Youth 12+ Boater Safety Training Camp demonstrates correct boating guidelines, boat maneuvers and terminology while teaching hands-on driving skills and training youth to become a safe and confident boater.
It fully covers the testing materials and administers the TPWD Test at the last hour of class

Our goal is to deliver a fun and memorable training program on Baywatch Tours' reliable pontoon boats so that each participant learns foundational skills for navigating our beautiful waterways on their own.
